Dunwoody Police Arrest Female Bank Robber

DUNWOODY, GA -- On Friday, Dec. 31, Dunwoody Police officers arrested Chantel Calloway, 30, of Chamblee for robbing a Regions Bank (1457 Mount Vernon Road, 30338).

Calloway entered the bank around 11:30 a.m. that day and handed the teller a note demanding money. She was wearing a baseball cap and wig to try to disguise herself.

The suspect ran from the bank with the cash and removed her hat and wig. An officer noticed Calloway, realized that she matched the description of the robbery suspect and detained her. He took her back to the bank, where the teller positively identified her.

A Doraville K-9 Unit found Calloway's hat and wig discarded near the bank.

Doraville Police Now Offer Criminal Histories Service

DORAVILLE, GA -- On Monday, Nov. 29, the Doraville Police Department (3750 Park Avenue, Doraville, 30340) began conducting Georgia Criminal Histories.

Doraville residents can obtain these records Monday through Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The service will not be offered on Fridays.

Each criminal history costs $6.

Doraville Police Need Your Help

DORAVILLE, GA -- Doraville Police are asking for your help in the apprehension of a bank robbery suspect.

On Sept. 21 at approximately 12:32 p.m., a man entered Touchmark Bank (6035 Peachtree Road, Doraville, 30360). As he entered the bank, he raised his hood over his head. Around this time, the first of three panic alarms went out from the bank.

The suspect told bank employees and patrons not to move. He handed the teller a paper bag and demanded money from her drawer. The suspect got approximately $4,000 and fled east on Buford Highway in a blue BMW X5.

The suspect is described as a black male of medium build, approximately 6'2", with his hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a grey hooded zip-up sweatshirt, black gloves, blue jeans and clear-lens glasses.
