DeKalb revives Sick of Signs campaign | Events
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- DeKalb County is calling on the community to help battle the abundance of illegal signs in certain neighborhoods.
The county's second annual Sick of Signs campaign aims to clean up the streets and sidewalks. Interim CEO Lee May and the county's commissioners will gather up the signs on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.
"Illegal signs are a blight in the community and an eyesore, and potentially dangerous if they're too close to roadways," May said. "This effort aligns with DeKalb's priorities to develop and maintain sustainable neighborhoods, and enhance public safety."
Sick of Signs volunteers will meet at the Walmart at 5935 Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain.
