ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Silverbacks will play six preseason games this year, the soccer club announced Friday.

The preseason schedule will feature two games against professional teams and four against college teams.

Four of the games will be held at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, while the remainder will be away.

The complete preseason schedule is:

Saturday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m.
vs. the University of Alabama-Birmingham

Saturday, Mar. 10 at 4 p.m.
vs. the Charleston (S.C.) Battery

Saturday, Mar. 17 at 4 p.m.
vs. Mercer University

Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 4:30 p.m.
vs. Clayton State University

Saturday, Mar. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
at Furman University

Saturday, Mar. 24 at 3 p.m.
at Georgia State University

Friday, Mar. 30 at 6 p.m.
at the Charlotte Eagles

Both Furman and Georgia State will play half-games against the Silverbacks at GSU Soccer Field in Decatur.

The Silverbacks will begin the 2012 season at home on Saturday, Apr. 7 against the San Antonio Scorpions. All home games are played at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, which is located at 3200 Atlanta Silverbacks Way in Doraville.
